This Privacy Policy explains how Shabtech Innovations & Global Resources Ltd. (“Shabtech”, “we”, “our”, “us”) handles information when you visit shabtech.com (“the site”). Separate engagement agreements cover any project we build for you; this policy is about the website only.

1. Who we are

Shabtech Innovations & Global Resources Ltd. is a WordPress and WooCommerce studio incorporated in Nigeria, with offices in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja. For privacy questions, email hello@shabtech.com.

2. What we collect

• Forms you fill in. Our audit and contact forms ask for your name, WhatsApp number, email (optional), store or website link, what you need, where most of your customers are, and any message you add. We also record the page you sent the form from.
• Where you came from. When you send a form, we record the campaign tags in the link you used (for example utm_source), the website that referred you, and the page you landed on, so we know which channels work. If you accept cookies, we also keep these in a small first-party cookie (sb_utm, 30 days) so they’re remembered as you move between pages.
• Analytics. We may use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate and to measure our adverts. When we do, they only load if you click “Accept” in our cookie banner, and they set their own cookies (for example _ga and _fbp). If you click “Reject”, they never load. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page. While we don’t use any analytics, no banner is shown and no analytics cookies are set.
• Email updates. If you tick “Email me practical store tips” on a form, or sign up for our newsletter, we add your email address and first name (if you give it) to our mailing list, together with where you signed up. Our mailing list is run by EmailOctopus, which processes this data on our behalf. We only add you if you ask to be added, we may email you first to confirm, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, referring page, pages requested) to run the site, investigate errors and stop abuse.
• Messages and calls you start. If you message us on WhatsApp, email us or book a call through our Calendly link, we receive what you choose to send. Calendly and WhatsApp process that under their own privacy policies.

Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not contact Google Fonts. Your cookie choice and your currency choice on the Store care page are remembered in your own browser only.

3. How we use information

• To reply to you, usually on WhatsApp, and prepare the audit or proposal you asked for.
• To notify our team of new enquiries by email and keep a record of them in our website’s admin area, which only our administrators can access.
• To send you our email tips and newsletter, only if you signed up for them.
• To understand which pages, campaigns and channels bring enquiries.
• To keep the site secure and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers we rely on to run the business (hosting, email, our mailing list provider EmailOctopus, analytics, scheduling, messaging, payments) or where the law requires it.

4. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), the UK and EU GDPR, California’s CCPA or other laws. These usually include the right to know what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to certain uses, and to complain to your data protection authority (in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission). To use any of these rights, email hello@shabtech.com. We reply within 30 days.

5. International transfers

We are based in Nigeria. If you contact us from the UK, EU, US or elsewhere, your information is processed in Nigeria and by our service providers in their own countries. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep correspondence and client records while we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations (typically 6 years). Enquiries sent through our website forms are deleted automatically 90 days after we receive them, unless they lead to work with us. If you signed up for email updates, your email address stays on our mailing list until you unsubscribe; deleting an enquiry does not unsubscribe you. Server logs follow our host’s retention policy.

7. Security

The site runs over HTTPS, enquiries are stored in an area only our administrators can open, and we limit access to client data to the people working on your project. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the basics seriously.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site collects or uses information, we will update this page and the date above. We will highlight material changes.
