This Privacy Policy explains how Shabtech Innovations & Global Resources Ltd. ("Shabtech", "we", "our", "us") handles information you share when you visit shabtech.com ("the site"). Separate engagement agreements cover any project we build for you — this policy is about the marketing site only.

1. Who we are

Shabtech Innovations & Global Resources Ltd. is a WordPress engineering studio incorporated in Nigeria, with offices in Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Abuja, serving clients in eleven countries. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@shabtech.com.

2. What we collect

The marketing site itself does not ask you to fill in a form, create an account, or submit personal data. We collect information only in the following ways:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard access logs containing your IP address, browser user-agent, referrer, and the pages you request. These are used to operate the site, investigate errors, and detect abuse. They are typically retained for a limited period under the host's own policy.
  • Email, WhatsApp, or phone calls you initiate. If you write to hello@shabtech.com, message us on WhatsApp, or book a call via our scheduling link, we receive whatever information you choose to send (your name, email, phone number, and the content of your message). We use it to respond to you.
  • Calendar bookings. If you book a call through our Calendly link, Calendly collects your name, email, and scheduling preferences and shares that with us. Calendly's own privacy policy governs that collection.

3. Third-party services loaded on the site

Visiting shabtech.com causes your browser to contact a few third parties to fetch resources. Those services can, by the nature of how the web works, see your IP address:

  • Google Fonts — to load the Space Grotesk, Inter, and JetBrains Mono typefaces.
  • Calendly, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram — only when you click a link to them.

We do not currently run analytics, ad tracking, or pixels on the site. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent through a cookie banner.

4. Cookies

We do not set cookies on the marketing site. Any cookies set by third parties (Google Fonts, etc.) are governed by those providers' own policies.

5. How we use information

The limited information we receive is used to:

  • Reply to you and run the project conversation if you become a client.
  • Keep the site secure and operational.
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except with providers we rely on to run the business (hosting, email, calendaring, payment) or where required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023), the UK/EU GDPR, California's CCPA, or other applicable laws. These typically include the right to:

  • Know what personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Ask us to stop processing it for certain purposes.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission).

7. International transfers

We are based in Nigeria. If you contact us from the UK, EU, US, or elsewhere, your information will be processed in Nigeria and by our service providers in their respective jurisdictions. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms with our providers.

8. Retention

We keep correspondence for as long as the relationship is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and accounting obligations (typically 6 years). Server logs are retained per our host's policy.

9. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, host on reputable infrastructure, and limit access to client data to the people working on your project. No system is perfectly secure — but we take the basics seriously.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site collects or uses information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted.
